Meet The Kids!!!

Meet Muoki

Muoki is pictured above outside of his house where he lives with his grandmother and sister. He is HIV positive and is on a diet where he must eat every few hours in order to take his medication. As of right now, Muoki is being supported for food, however his family could still use extra income for many things they cannot afford, such tuition for school and supplies.

Meet Chris and Ruth

Chris and Ruth have two older and one younger sibling. Pictured above is their one bedroom home where they live with their mother, who works in the fields for a government official, their grandmother and three other siblings. The small hut in front of their home is where they do their cooking. Chris suffers from mal-nutrition. Many times, his only meal of the day is provided by the school.

Meet Mwende

Mwende has three other siblings. Her father has left town in hopes of finding work elsewhere. Unfortunately, one of the children passed away last year. When Sophia asked what had happened she was told that the child fell ill and could not be taken to the hospital because they do not have any money. Mwende’s sibling died about two weeks after falling ill.

Meet Gentrix

Gentrix is like a socail worker for the Children in the village. She lives n the site with her husband and two kids. She works closely with Youth With A Mission to provide for the childrens needs and lives entirely off support. She is a friendly face the children can confide in and she encourages the children to attend school, even when their parents cannot afford it.
